About Me

Chinie Barunday, also known as CHIE, began her journey as a professional model and beauty queen. Beyond the runway, she is a passionate artist, writer, hodophile (lover of travel), music enthusiast, dancer, educator, and gamer. A licensed professional teacher, CHIE has earned the distinction of graduating cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education. She also holds multiple international certifications in English instruction, including:

• TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)

• TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language)

• TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language)

• TEYL (Teaching English to Young Learners)

 

CHIE is a dedicated advocate for literacy and quality education, empowering communities through accessible learning.​ She is the Founder and CEO of the CHIE Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on education empowerment, and the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of GeNie Works, a digital marketing agency providing virtual assistant and creative solutions.

Currently, CHIE is pursuing her academic journey as a scholar, studying Computer Science and Business Administration at the University of the People. Through her platforms and projects, she aims to inspire individuals of all ages to pursue their passions, embrace learning, and create positive change.
