This collection of classic columns in dense prints piqued the prized handwoven cloth and tapestry worn as a head covering by the Tausugs of Jolo called pis syabit. Made from cotton or silk, square in shape, and provided with geometric patterns, the pis or headcloth, easily identifiable with geometric or syabit designs, symbolizes colorful history and rank. Digitally sublimated and warped, the geometric patterns of the prints in this collection create visual illusions on images overprints for a more contemporary appeal.
